Impact phase and rear support from bow

Hello all,

In the impact phase I have a longbow BG 3x2 that has been charged by a MF BG that is also 3x2. The impact dice are 6 for each side, (2 per stand in the front rank), but how are the second rank of bowmen factored in?

Since you get 1 dice per stand in the 2nd rank, are these added to the total making the bow have 9 impact dice or are you still at 6 dice for each BG?

I am guessing that you stay at 6 each but cannot find where this is handled.

According to the chart on page 92, you get the 3 dice from your shooters making a total of 9, but the 3 from the shooters use shooting POA's instead of the impact POA of the front 6 dice.

Just finished a WotR game with lots of impacts like this!
A Lb BG gets those nine dice in impact! However the three dice from the shooters are at a different, usually lower factor due to the -1 POA for shooting during impact. You also only get the shooters if you are the non-active player, not if you initiate the charge...so timing is all and lucky shooting dice leading up to the turn where impact happens!
