10mm FOG Mid Republican Roman army ( pictures )

Post by Seldon »

Mid Republican Roman army in 10mm ( minis are old glory mainly )

In order to have a unified scale of representation I chose to represent one legion as 8 bases of hastati & princeps and 2 of triarii. When I have enough legions in the army to do the 2x8base BG I simply assume that two legions are working together under unified command.

In these pictures these two legions are deployed under independent command, 2x4 base BG with supporting triarii

For 10mm those are really nice paint jobs you have done there. No mean achievement with such tiny figures. Well done they look really good

This is what I did with a legion (4 + 4 + 4 + 2). Minifig line.

Yeah, I was trying to get the 'checkerboard' effect. It's a bit blurry, but from the top it looks like this:

It's not perfect, but I think it'll look not too bad from 'playing' distance.
