Aircraft efficacity...
Idk if it`s my own ineptitude about using strafing runs, or that they didn`t kill tanks as much as I thought they did irl, or the game is balanced in such a way as to not make strafing run a 100% kill rate, but I somehow never seem to kill any tank I launch an strafing run against. Is there something I`m doing wrong or are strafing runs made less effective than they ``actually`` (like I mentioned, I`m not entirely sure, weather or not strafing runs were 90-99% effective at destroying armor) are for balancing purposes. I.E. in the final mission of the 1941-43 desert campaign, there`s a lone tiger hiding in the last village, despite directly sending 2 strafing runs on him, I didn`t even scratch his paint. Is it maybe because I need something like a Hawker Typhoon to reliably take out armor since that bad boy has the firepower to do so compared to a few 50 cals on the P47 (not sure if that`s the plane doing the strafing, I`m not too knowledgeable about WW2 aircraft)?
I`d be super interested to get some feedback, thanks!

In the scenario you mentioned, the British have a Hurricane available to them. IMO, the Hurricane was better at strafing infantry, HT's/Trucks and lighter skinned armor. the likelihood of taking out a Tiger is slim at best. My approach to them is pound them with the 25lber's you can purchase and get the morale down, strafing should also bring it down some and then move in with Shermans or infantry to finish it off. It can be done.
As for some of the other aircraft, the Stuka generally as a good chance of killing off armor, the FW190 can also but, not with the frequency of the Stuka. Typhoon and the P47 are also good on the Allies side.
remember, your best chance is from side or rear shots on armor.
Not sure of the percentage either but to me 90% seems high. Missiles are point and shoot and forget...and they don't always fly straight.
Just my 2 cents.

Thx for the info^ I had no idea, I thought airpower crushed armor like it was a soft shell walnut. Glad to hear that Battle Academy is more authenic
