Lykians?

Post by aecurtis »

I have 15mm Lykians which used the DBM list. Apparently they didn't make the cut for "Immortal Fire".

Is there any point in waiting around for a list to appear someday, or would it make more sense to press on using another list as a proxy?

Right now, I'm looking at both Thracians and Lydians as possible proxies.

Thanks,

Allen

I am very surprised that anyone actually painted up a DBM Lykian army. Sorry they didn't make the cut for Immortal Fire. If you would care to write a list, Allen, they might make the forthcoming "Lost Scrolls" on the Field of Glory Web Page (with tournament status, if that matters).

Mine were a mix of Tumbling Dice figures, substituting later Thracians with one-handed rhomphaias for Lykian drepanon-wielders. As most of the shields in the range were separate, it was simple enough to fit the troops with hoplite shields: close enough to the round, rimmed shield depicted for Lykians. The TD armored cavalry got additional parapleuridae. It was a fun army to model.

And then Old Glory 15s came out with Lykian infantry, naturally, when I was all done...

I'll have a go at converting the DBM list in a bit, then. Again, using the Thracian and Lydian lists as close analogues, it shouldn't be difficult.

Thanks,

Allen
