unable to find match id for saved game

I had an online game in progress. It had been a long time waiting for my opponent's move (a few weeks). Now, when i open Bulge, i get a message that says "unable to find match id for saved game", and the online game doesn't appear in the game list (it was actually my only online game, so the "choose" button is just disabled now).

Is this a bug? Did it happen because of the long wait between turns? Also, is there any way to stop that message from coming up every time i start Bulge?

The “every time” should simply be the fact that Bulge reloads the state of where it last was, which is failing. Start a new game (of any sort), and it will restore to that one instead.

My first inclination is that this is a hiccup in Game Center, since I have never heard of a situation where an ongoing match disappears. Unfortunately, I can’t think of a way for you to send a more detailed report (the in-game reporting feature can’t help since you can’t load the game). We’ll keep our eyes open for similar reports.
