Brits reinforcements not crossing the Meuse

In one of my games as Allies I'm not able to make the British reinforcements crossing the Meuse.
I'm doing fairly well in that particular game and the amis were able to stop the hun tide all alone, holding BAstogne, Verviers and SPA and isolating a German controlled Marche. The German player is down to 22 VPs and I noticed that there is not a single american unit on the west side of the Meuse.
Did anyone experience something similar?

We’re making this a little more clear in the next release, but: the British cannot cross until the Axis threatens (by reaching the Meuse), or it’s 25 Dec.

The v1.0.3 full rules say 26th. The rules summary doesn't mention any date.

The game is consistent with the rules, my memory must not be. British units are indeed released on 26 Dec.
