Well, he was at that age i suppose :| Still sad though, he seemed like one hell of a nice old fella :) Did read his book years ago, and he went through alot.

I recommend reading the comic "Tigers in the mud" by Hayao Miyazaki. It is based on Carius' autobiography and its probably the best fictional work on tank fighting I know.

Another witness of WW2 left us. One less obstacle for our 'patriots' rewriting the history.
