FWIW its not the case in my games. I have had woods with French (Italian Wars and TYW varieties) but not every time, and have never had a river (stream) with Swedes or Austrians (by which I assume you mean Imperialists).

not every time but most of the time. if you want I could recall all the game with a wood or a stream
