Game will not start at all.

Hi,

yesterday I bought the game warhammer armageddon with my steam account.
I paid for it via Paypal and the game was downloaded directly.

When I try to start the game now, only the startmenu opens. When I click on the button "play the game", the game will not start and nothing happens.

What can I do to resolve the Problem?

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with the game.

Please uninstall the game and install the game in a different Steam library folder.
Try installing in for example in C:\Games\... instead of C:\Program Files (x86)\....

Running into a similar issue myself.
After selecting to launch the game from the game launcher I am faced with a black screen and after a while a message that says that the game is not responding.
After that I have to manually kill the WMVPlayer.exe process.
I have tried with the game installed in two directories ("D:\games\steam" and "c:\games\steam").

Ha, I managed to solve my problem and it was a bit of a strange one.
(This is when configured through the AMD Catalyst control center)
The game wont start if you have a multiple screen configuration where your secondary monitor is marked as monitor 1 instead of 2.
When I duplicated the display instead of extending or if I switched them around so that my primary monitor is marked as 1 instead of 2 (which is probably how things should have been anyway!) then everything seems to work.

Hi,

so I installed the game in a different folder, but it is still not working at all.
I also deactivated my firewall, but it won't work either.

I would be very thankfull for further technical support.

p.s. All my other steam games work without problems.

Open the folder where the game is installed and search for a file named ArmageddonGame.exe.
Run it and check if you receive any error message.

Hi,

when I start the armageddongame.exe the intro trailer starts, and when I try to end the trailer the error "CRC check failed"
occured and the game crashes.

Is there any solution to this problem?
