british air units

What's the best way to kill the british air units that retreat to the northern islands once you conquer mainland Britain?

Best or easy? There is no easy way (barring luck). Otherwise, if it's a fighter and if you have a target nearby that they can intercept, you hit the target with a fighter, then attack it with another fighter, and have the Kriegsmarine take a shot at it. With the negative morale due to losing the mainland it should tkae 2-4 rounds to kill it. A bomber is more difficult since you can only have one fighter hit it, but same theory. The biggest problem is that if the weather isnt good, you can spend most of the bad weather season (and LOTS of oil) to kill just one air unit. As a rule, once Scapa Flow falls, if there are any RAF on the islands, I just accept whatever attacks they do and mvoe the Luftwaffe to where it's useful. (If you do Uboat operations right, the AI won't even try an invasion of the UK/Europe).
