Battle Academy AI question

Hi,
I love Pike & Shot and was wondering whether the AI performs as well in Battle Academy - either the original version or the new release of it? If anyone has experience of playing either version in solo mode I'd be interested to hear their thoughts, in a 'compare and contrast' to P & S kind of way, before I decide whether to invest in it...

Yes I'm playing BA2 now and the AI is murderous. The scenarios are really made to give the player some challenge.
Playing coop and they're even tougher.

Thanks for that Jomni. A couple of follow up questions -

i) What's coop mode? Is that multiplayer or skirmish mode, or something else entirely?

ii) Did you ever play the original BA, and was the AI as good as in the new release?

Coo-p mode is multiplayer but you play pre-made scenarios (form the campaign) on the same side vs the AI. Half of the forces are under your control and the other half is played by your partner.

I think BA2 AI performs better than BA1. Or at least the scenarios are better made and the AI is scripted to be more challenging.

BA2 also has the skirmish and coop mode to increase replay value.
There is a mod to bring BA1 units into BA2 for skirmish mode but I think you need to own BA1.
