Keeping track of attrition points ?

Post by Keith »

Anyone got any ideas on how to keep track of attrition levels ? As they may go up and down during the battle ,I thought some sort of peg board to keep track or something ?
In our first game last night , I was just getting into the rules , when we discovered that my army was broken :)
Dam Legions were too tough for my Warband :(

You'll get the feeling when you are getting close :D
At that time I'll count all the Frag markers on the table and all the units that have been destroyed. It helps if after say, turn 6, you start to think how long you still have to go...

The pros (ah!) will look at an opposing army after deployment and decide what they want to break to win. That way you focus on your objective (break X, Y, Z) and will constantly be aware of how imminent victory is.

I have never really needed it.

Durin a game I tend to do it the other way round and count what is on the table then you have no need to recall what was broken. Its an easy add up either way.

What I do is keep a rout marker (in my camp if I still have it) for each enemy BG or camp that has been removed from the table, and give my opponent a rout marker for each of mine. Then it is easy to add the rout and fragmented markers on the table and the ones representing removed BGs/camps.

If I did that my camp would look like a teenager's face with all the yellow & red spots. :(
