Foot light spears get a POA advantage “Unless charging shock mounted”
I believe this means that if knights charged the foot the foot would get the POA. If the foot were actually charging the knights then they would not get the POA. Have I got this right?
POA wording question

Re: POA wording question
Correct. Also if light spear foot Intercept the knights' charge they count as charging for POA purposes, and hence won't get the POA.miffedofreading wrote:Foot light spears get a POA advantage “Unless charging shock mounted”

Thanks Richard. Worth asking as I had completely forgotten about intercepting.
So as far as POA's are concerned if A charges B and C intercepts then both A and B counte as "charging" and C does not, IF it is still contacted at all.
I shall try and jam that simple little fact into my even simpler brain

Either what you have written was a mistake or you haven't quite twigged this one.miffedofreading wrote:Thanks Richard. Worth asking as I had completely forgotten about intercepting.

If A are knights (or cavalry lancers) and they charge B (say archers) and C (our BG of light spear) intercepts then C is charging A and does not count the light spear POA as they are charging shock mounted.
If on the other hand C stays put and A steps forwards into contact then C will count the light spear POA as it is not "charging shock mounted"
