Some basic questions on army building for FoG

Post by Grabula »

I've started assembling my 10mm WOTR army, and I'm trying to get a handle on how many battlgroups/stands/points are usualy for a game of FoG?

Greetings

Assuming you are using 15mm bases for your 10mm, a 'starter' force is 600 points and a normal tournament army is 800 points.

The number of BGs will naturally depend on the size of the BG and the quality/equipment of its bases. There is an earlier thread with a link to a beta WoTR 800 point army which might help if you don't have 'Storm of Arrows' - which I recommend as it will give you all the details about WoTR army construction (and those of contemporary armies).

I've got Storm of Arrows! As for basing for 15mm, it's close, I went with 40x20mm bases because I also enjoy playing Warmaster. Actually I guess I'm not really following many FoG conventions, I'm also putting about twice as many minis on each base lol. It's not to spite the system though, it's more because I'm looking for something more aesthetically pleasing then 4 guys on a single base for the period.

Greetings

I'll have to find my 10mm Pendraken - I agree that they would look much better with more figures on a base.
