Another example of the "3D World Map" vs "3D Tactical Map" display styles.

The latter is not only designed for those who prefer boardgame style visuals, but also allows the game to run on low-spec machines.

So, when you are in the "board game visual style mode," the only animation would be the movement of the counters - correct?

Would all the sound effects carry over from the 3-D game environment to the board game one?

We haven't done the sound effects for this mode yet, but have recently been discussing it. Explosions would probably feel out of place so we might go for an entirely different set of sfx.
