Napoleonic Wars - Field of Glory iteration ?

Am I alone in wondering why, or rather... WHY??! the hex based enthusiast pc gaming community has to rely primarily on a 1990's game engine of HPS for tactical level gaming of the French Revolutionary & Napoleonic period ? The advent (at last!) of a new tactical level 17th Century Pike and Shot development from Field of Glory is welcome - yet surely there is a far larger gaming audience for the Napoleonic period than the relatively obscure era of the Thirty Years War ? Don't Field of Glory have their priorities the wrong way round ? Puzzling ? Yes ! Views ?

+1 for a new or revised (updated) Napoleonic war game!

I've only played "Commander-Napoleon at War" which I enjoyed. However, it's dated and needs improving (depth, events, graphics, AI etc.)
