Corp Coammnders and leading units CMT

Post by pugsville »

In the Brigade move section in the rules it says only Division Commanders, but could a Corp Commander make a brigade move ? (expending a CP to move himself) If so could the units be of different divisions?

A corps commander moving with a unit (expending his CP) does the second move of the unit benefit from free CMT? Does the corps commander move a second time or does that move need a CP?

Movement of Commanders. Page 43, 7th bullet point.
Only a divisional commander may move with a Brigade Group, which can only contain units of his own command.

Second question
Corps commander spends a point for first move. CMT is free for second move. Corp commander must spend point to make second move with unit.
So 2 command points if the test is passed. 1 point if second move test fails.

I would allow a Corps Commander to do a Brigade move since ALL the troops are under his command. As Dead, pointed out, it would cost you two of his points to move along with the units.

Specifically says "The units forming the brigade group must have their Division Commander moving with them who must be with....

So yes the Corps commander can tag along but he can not lead it. It will still cost him a CP each time he moves, but looks like only the Division commander can spend the points for second moves etc.
