'45 East: Offensive or Defensive?

Post by BiteNibbleChomp »

Though I'm not quite up to GC '45 yet (currently on Babruysk44), I've seen a screenshot of the end briefing of Goldap, that says you can choose an offensive or defensive campaign. According to the campaign tree, one leads to Konigsberg, while the other to Laptau. Which is which? (Konigsberg sounds like another awesome place for my 5-star Gebirgsjager and 'God' Tiger I to cause huge amounts of damage to the Russians!)

Insterburg - Pillau- Koningsberg is the defensive branch, Pelleninkin - Parck - Laptau is the offensive one. BTW, did you see the icon I dumped in your WWI Mod Graphics thread?

Awesome. 5* Gebrigsjager, prepare to defend the fatherland!

And yes, I have seen the new gas shell. Maybe you haven't noticed it in the WWI Armoury? (Page 2 IIRC)

I always go the defensive route but mostly it just suits my playstyle better. The defensive ones are all fairly easy as well from my point of view.

IMO the first offensive scenario, and the last defensive scenario are the most interesting.
