Basing Artillery

Post by Keith »

Hi all
Just basing my Roman Ballista and Onager.
The base depth in the book is 80mm
For the ballista I don't think I'll need the 80mm , so if I make 60mm or 40mm is that OK ?
The Onager might need more than 80mm , so if if I make it deeper it doesn't matter ?

As long as the width is 60mm ?

The specified base depths are minima, so some people might object if you took part in a tournament with shallower bases. If you don't plan to take part in any tournaments I see no problem.

You can always turn them into mini-dioramas if you use the 80mm deep bases.

Ok thanks
I have plenty of crewmen so I can make it 80mm deep with no problems.

Go 60 mm and use sabots if you plan on going to tournaments ?

Also saves on storage space ;-)
