1.5.1 So far

Post by BattlevonWar »

Just started a game or two, and toyed around with scenarios with this mod and my thoughts outside of stability. Which personally I never had an issue with in the previous mods aside bombing naval ships.

Seems like Submarines are a little bit more improved and Battleships are insanely powered now. Although you never want to lose a Battleship...it costs beyond words...

There is no sweeping of Belgium or France early as there is a huge obstacle, Antwerp. A decent Entente Player will dig in on that hex and back it up with British and French and I don't see it falling easy. If at all...in the old patches it was tough enough, in fact Antwerp would hold out to the very very end often and I would be in Calais and beyond. I don't see the CP able to get deep penetration into France either.

The reason being is this: Cavalry and Artillery was overpowered and allowed the breaking of the early lines, Infantry are now the slow producing and only capable weapon and I see at least early game that there will be little the CP can do to obtain real estate there.

Meanwhile, no opinions on Russia as of yet. They are having issues storming frontline Austrian Forts and this is between two players with over a year of experience.

P.S. I tested bombers, tanks and fighters. Bombers are as powerful as WW2 Bombers which probably is the only aspect that will break the trench warfare late game.

P.S.S. I would look for high powered early offensive weapons like fast moving hard hitting units that move on both sides as they did historically then quiet fast..then I would also look for late game hardhitting fast units that resemble historically the actual events that took place. Trenches started to give way to technology... Note, these are my opinions but it's nice to see the improvements : )
