Official Figure Scale

Post by IainMcNeil »

There has been a lot of scare mongering going on about figures sales and branded figures.

We'd just like to take this opportunity to clear things up officially.

Field of Glory can be played in any figure scale. We are not interested in trying to force people to play any particular scale. In the rules we used photos of 25mm figures. This was not because the rules are desigend or 25mm, but purely because in photos 25mm figures look much prettier!

If you want to play in 6mm fine! Currently 15mm is the most popular figure scale and most of the beta testers play in 15mm. There are also a significant number of 25mm beta testers and they enjoy the game just as much. We want people to enjoy FoG in any way they can. If that means using 10mm figures or having some house rules then fine. Do whatever you want, but enjoy your gaming.

A number of people are concerned about Wargames Factory releasing a FoG branded set of miniatures. They are suggesting we wont let people enter competitions if they don't have official FoG figures. We have no desire or intention of enforcing such a rule. Even if we wanted to would not be able to due to the fact we don't run any of the competitions and no single manufacturer is ever going to be able to cover all the periods and armies that FoG covers.
