PSP edition questions

Post by Nerroth »

Hello.

I wanted to find out more information as regards how the PSP version of the game plays, but I haven't had much luck in finding reviews which cater to that particular version.

What kind of camera and unit control interface does the game use (for example, is it somewhat reminiscent of Rome: Total War's tactical combat system)?

How well can the PSP handle the graphical requirements of the game?

Has anyone tried using the AV out with a PSP slim to play the game on a television - and if so, how well does it show up?

Also, is there a dedicated review of the PSP version that one could recommend?

The PSP version obviously has lower detail than the PC but still shows teh full number of men on screen. You control one squad at a time, a bit like playing the old Cannon Fodder games. Once you leave a squad it continues its last command and its low level AI kicks in so it reacts to nearby enemies, shoots if they are in range etc and fights.

The PSP screen is very nice so I don't think you'd want to connect it up to a TV as it wont look as crisp. If you're going to play on a TV definitely get the PS2 version.

Thanks for the feedback.

Are there any video clips up showing how the PSP version plays?

You'd have to check reviews - we don't have any official ones uploaded.
