Re: BHGS Doubles 2014
That's a pity the first date clashes with the Northern league and the second with BayFog.

Re: BHGS Doubles 2014
Its an ever-increasing problem - with 30 or so FoGR competitions in the year, 7-8 weekends with bank holidays and then a few more weekends to avoid clashes are unfortunately now inevitable. At least Bayfog is (I think) only an AM competition.
And take pity (if that's the right phrase) on those playing Flames of War - the BHGS calendar currently lists almost 40 FOW events this calendar year...

Re: BHGS Doubles 2014
No worries - it is definitely worth saying, if only as a counterpoint to the "FoGR heading for a crash" thread!

Re: BHGS Doubles 2014
OK folks, Britcon is now out of the way (hoorah!!) and the Doubles is a venue we are sharing with the FoW boys, who take up twice as many tables and already have more teams booked in.
If a moderator can have a clear-out of the sticky threads and add this to the list at the top it would be much appreciated, as would some more players booking into the event. If anyone is worried about entering, you should bear in mind that the theme does allow the return of the Pirates !!

Eleven Teams so far
2 lists in and checked, 2 others intentions known, so lists in whenever you are ready to avoid the end of month rush, looking good with some great combinations of players, can't wait
cheers

Re: BHGS Doubles 2014
Just submitted an entry with "Vespasian" (Paul Marsh) and a third Wessex Wargames Society member as Paul can't make both days. Intended army is Bavarian 1694 (Late German list), which should be an interesting proposition, though probably no match for any late Louis XIV with all its elite and superior troops.

You'll enjoy it,
Paul has always enjoyed his outings to Southampton and it is the same players as he has played before, whilst there might be a French they'll be a bigger range of armies than you think, Paul has my email when you want to send the list in
Cheers
