Stalingrad?

Stalingrad?
I don't see the battle represented yet in the campaigns yet- will it be in a later build, or in an add-on?
I do like that the campaigns dwell on other battles, but it seems a large omission.

Re: Stalingrad?
We are planning on Stalingrad being an entire expansion campaign, probably with some specific mechanics etc to best capture the special qualities of the battle.

Great! That seems like a good idea. Thanks.

Without "Stalingrad campaign" there couldn't be any "East Front" - game..

Was there a D-Day beach landing scenario in vanilla BA? I don't remember one.pomakli wrote:Without "Stalingrad campaign" there couldn't be any "East Front" - game..

Re: Stalingrad?
Stalingrad, yes! And what about the battle for Kursk?
This was the greatest tank battle in WW2 , futuring the newly panther and elephant tanks.
could't this be also made as an add on campaign?

I couldn't possibly comment, but it would definitely be a distinct possibility wouldn't it

Re: Stalingrad?
Ok , we have Barbarossa , Kharkov and Stalingrad . Great ! But before moving to 1943 you really should add A Crimean campaign . Odessa, Sevastopol, Kerch , Thyodosia and all those places. Imagine the blitzkrieg german army under Manstein vs The might of the soviet Black Sea fleet ! Back to Stalingrad , don't forget to add the last stand of the 8th Italian army defending the german flanks on the don river !

I agree
Re: Stalingrad?
Yes, it's great to get the largest battles covered- but I would really like to see Italy, Romania (Axis and Allied) and Hungary covered in an add-on.

Absolutely. My favorite part of the RTS "Great Battles of WW2: Stalingrad" was that there were Italian, Romanian and Croatian allies available. So many games omit this or drop it in as a small afterthought.Benpark wrote:Yes, it's great to get the largest battles covered- but I would really like to see Italy, Romania (Axis and Allied) and Hungary covered in an add-on.

Re: Stalingrad?
I'm with you guys . Romania and Hungary need their respective places in BA2 ,like besieging Odessa and defending the german flanks at Stalingrad . But could we also have lesser know campaigns ,like the Rzhev meat-grinder ?
