I think the best way to describe our operations to date is that they have violated every recognized principle of war.

Calendar Day 24 NOV 1942
Command Turn - Airbases and Supply Phase

Axis: II./Jagdgeschwader 51 'Mölders' (Bf 109F2) arrives. Axis Airbase assignments are reorganized below.
Allies: Same assignments as yesterday.

Image

No Units are out of Supply. However this is always a good time to remind everyone of the Supply Rules:

• Supply Status Checks
Supply status is determined at the beginning of the Command Phase.
• In order to be in supply, a BN must be able to trace a line free of enemy BNs or their Zones of Control from a supply source, along a road of any length, and then no more than 18 MPs off the road to the unit.
Tunis and Bizerte and any friendly airfield are friendly supply sources for the Axis player.
The western map edge is a friendly supply source for the Allied player, as is the southern map edge as far east as Le Kef (hex 2321).
Supply may never be traced through a swamp hex, except on a road. Supply may be traced into a rugged crest hex, but not through it. Airborne-capable or Commando units conducting Airborne Assaults or Amphibious Assaults are considered to be in supply for 2 Supply checks following their Assault.
• All BNs which are out of supply have their movement allowances halved. In addition, all Artillery BNs out of supply have their artillery card values halved. All units in out of supply BNs have their morale reduced by 25 points per day. After 3 successive “out of supply” results, a BN is dissolved and converted into Replacement points, suffering a 50% penalty.

Coming Next: Rolls and Weather Phase
I think the best way to describe our operations to date is that they have violated every recognized principle of war.

Calendar Day 24 NOV 1942
Winter Rains Status is "Partly Cloudy", Today's Weather is Rainy
Operational Turn
Support and Movement Orders - Orders Summary

Axis Artillery Orders are uncontested this Phase. 5 Arty/Superga BN is available for "Battery Fire".

The combined Axis and Allied Air orders are:

Image

So we have 1 Air to Air Combats between one Axis Interceptor and one Allied Ground Support Mission.

In Priority Order, the Axis Interceptors must intercept Interdiction missions closest to them.

III./Zerstörergeschwader 2, Priority 1 at Sidi Ahmed Airfield (0714), will Intercept 1st Fighter Group attempting to conduct Ground Support.

The Air Combat Chart
Image

*Note: All Rolls witnessed by both GMs using the "PBE Games : Dice Roller"

III./Zerstörergeschwader 2, Priority 1 at Sidi Ahmed Airfield (0714), will Intercept 1st Fighter Group attempting to conduct Ground Support.

Air to Air Combat One - III./Zerstörergeschwader 2 versus 1st Fighter Group

Image

III./Zerstörergeschwader 2 rolls 2d10 and gets a "10" and a "3 against 1st Fighter Group shooting them down. 1st Fighter Group rolls a "8" -2 so a net roll of "6" and aborting III./Zerstörergeschwader 2.

The P-38F pilots will be welcome to play cards and trade cigarettes with the RAF pilots in the Stalag Luft near Tunis.

Image

So the Remaining Air Missions after Air to Air Combats are:
Axis:
The Bf 109F2s of III./Jagdgeschwader 53 'Pik As' interdict 1812. It looks as if there will be a combat there, so the Bf 109F2s will be available as ground support in that hex with a +50% refresh penalty in that hex.
The FW 190As of 11./Jagdgeschwader 2 'Richthofen' interdict 1416 (Testour).
The Ju-87Ds of III./Sturzkampfgeschwader 3 based at Djedeida are available for Ground Support.
The Bf-110Es of 8.S./Schlachtgeschwader 2 based at Sidi Ahmed are available for Ground Support.

Allies:
The P-38Fs of 14th Fighter Group are available for Ground Support

Calendar Day 24 NOV 1942
Winter Rains Status is "Partly Cloudy", Today's Weather is Rainy
Operational Turn
Support and Movement Orders - Movement Orders Resolution

Final Movement Orders:
These orders are impacted by Support Orders Resolution.

Image

Movement as Displayed on the Map:

Image

Note - The Allied BG moving from Hex 1416 (Testour) to Hex 1215 (Medjez El Bab) is interdicted and moves after all other moves have been completed. The practical effect of this today is that 190 Pz BN moving to Hex 1215 (Medjez El Bab) arrives before the Allied BG does.

Note - The French BN moving from Hex 1812 to Hex 2012 (Robaa) is interdicted and moves after all other moves have been completed. The practical effect of this today is that the BN is forced to fight an ASD against an attacking KG.

Note - 63 Bersaglieri BN arrives in 0821 (Sedjenane) after the battle commences. The practical effect of this today is that any units from 63 Bersaglieri BN which participate in today's battle will arrive on turn 3 as reinforcements.

Support Decisions for both Sides:

Allies - Ground Support: 14th Fighter Group. Remember, Ground Support may not be placed in a hex containing an Axis FLAK BN. So the Ground Support may not be placed in 1812 or 1215.

Axis -
Artillery Support: 5Arty/Superga BN will support the battle at 0821 with a refresh rate of "6".
Ground Support.
III./Sturzkampfgeschwader 3:
8.S./Schlachtgeschwader 2:
III./Jagdgeschwader 53 'Pik As': Based in Djedeida, they must support the battle in Hex 1812, with a refresh rate of "8" (5 + {50% of 5 rounded up} = 8).

There are four battles this day. Theater Commanders must choose who will command the battle. As well the Axis and Allied decisions listed below must be blindly exchanged between the two Commanders by Tomorrow, Saturday 17 May 2014 at approximately 2200 GMT:

1.) The Battle of Hex 1812 BG Mlazar (II./43 RC) defends against KG I./Barenthin (I./Brn BN, II./54 FLAK BN & 16 Bers BN) in hex 1812 in an ASD. Note the attacker enters from the SW and NE corners. 16 Bersaglieri deploys to the SW at battle start and the other 2 BN Forces arrive on Turn 3 as reinforcements in the NE.

Axis Decisions: The Axis must chose 2 Primary BNs and a Reserve BN. The Reserve BN may provide units up to the limit of 64 units total. The reserve BN must be chosen from the units arriving on Turn 3.

Allied Decisions: None.

2.) The Battle of Medjez El Bab BG KingT (56 Recce BN & 1 Para BN) attacks KG III./5 FJ (III./5 FJ BN, 190 Pz BN & I./54 FLAK BN) in hex 1215 (Medjez El Bab) in an AFD.

Axis Decisions: The Axis must chose 2 Primary BNs and a Reserve BN. The Reserve BN may provide units to the at start forces, up to the limit of 64 units total.

Allied Decisions: None.

3.) The Battle of Djebel Rihane BG 1 East Surrey(Commander not noted) (1 ES BN & III./43 RC BN BN) attacks KG I./5 FJ (I./5 FJ BN & 136 AT BN) in hex 1515 (Djebel Rihane) in an AFD. Note - This battle takes place in rough terrain with no roads.

Axis Decisions: None.

Allied Decisions: None.

4.) The 3rd Battle of Sedjenane BG Protectivedaddy (17/21L BN and 5 Nth BN) attacks KG XI./FP (XI./FP BN, 101 AT BN & 63 Bers BN) in hex 0821 (Sedjenane) in an AFD.
Axis Decisions: 63 Bersaglieri BN, the Reserve BN, arrives as a reinforcement on Turn 3. It may provide units up to the limit of 64 units total.

Allied Decisions: None.

Calendar Day 24 NOV 1942
Winter Rains Status is "Partly Cloudy", Today's Weather is Rainy
Operational Turn
Operational Turn - Battles - Time to Fight!

All,

The Battles for Calendar Day 24 NOV 1942 are ready.

*Note* - On Air and Artillery support in these battles, ignore what the animations say. All attack values have been altered to match the units providing support as noted in the battle descriptions below.

Mlazar and Glenghiscan, you are up!
1.) The Battle of Ville Bargou (Hex 1812) BG Mlazar (II./43 RC) defends against KG I./Barenthin (I./Brn BN, II./54 FLAK BN & 16 Bers BN) in hex 1812 in an ASD. Note the attacker enters from the SW and NE corners. 16 Bersaglieri deploys to the SW at battle start and the other 2 BN Forces arrive on Turn 3 as reinforcements in the NE. The Axis have a Bf 109F2 available as Ground Support.

KingT and Me you are up!
2.) The Battle of Medjez El Bab BG KingT (56 Recce BN & 1 Para BN) attacks KG III./5 FJ (III./5 FJ BN, 190 Pz BN & I./54 FLAK BN) in hex 1215 (Medjez El Bab) in an AFD. The Axis have a Ju-87D available as Ground Support.

JCB and John Puryear you are up!
The Allies have a P-38F available as Ground Support.

Protectivedaddy (or Guardsman) and Collier you are up!
4.) The 3rd Battle of Sedjenane BG Protectivedaddy (17/21L BN and 5 Nth BN) attacks KG XI./FP (XI./FP BN, 101 AT BN & 63 Bers BN) in hex 0821 (Sedjenane) in an AFD. 63 Bersaglieri BN, the Reserve BN, arrives as a reinforcement on Turn 3. It may provide units up to the limit of 64 units total. The Axis have the 5./Superga Artillery and a Bf-110E as support.

Allied Decisions: None.

Notify Your Commander and the other GM if your battle has not started in 24 Hours. By "started" I mean the other player has sent you a turn, not just accepted. If this is the case, the Allied or Axis Theater Commander or a an officer designated by them will take their place. Allies, please resolve who will command in Sedjenane soonest.

Please post screenshots, casualties and battle results here. As well, chatter and goading are welcome.
Remember the RTT'42 Protocol: at least one turn a day and completion of the Battle in at least 10 days. Players, if your opponent is not achieving this pace, notify your Theater Commander.

*Victory is determined similarly to GJS, except in RTT there are 1700 points on 8 objectives. When the turn counter says "3 Turns left", the Axis should end the scenario. The Side with more than 900 points wins the scenario. If that somehow doesn't occur, then the tiebreaker is who lost more casualties as calculated in point costs.

*Track casualties. Remember, all BG or KG Leaders appear on map as Veterans.

*Per the Global Units list, die rolls have been made for all units which appear on map, and promotions to Veteran have been made for those units whose rolls allowed them to enter this way. Reinforcements cannot enter promoted.

To Download the Battle:

First things first. Follow the steps below. Ignore steps 1-5 if you want to keep your old campaign and start at 6.
