Russian Infantry 1812: Triumph of Nations list pages 40-42

Post by KeefM »

Artillery attachments: the list says "Up to 1 per unit in an infantry division, or 1 per 3 units in a cavalry division". Then, in the column under "Maximum bases" the lists says "1 per infantry unit". Plus, the "Customized Army" notes also allow artillery attachments to artillery units (1st bullet, right hand side, top of page41). All of which is a bit confusing . . . for example, how many artillery attachments are permitted in a mixed division ? Can artillery units in a mixed division even have artillery attachments ?

I suspect the intention was that in both infantry and mixed divisions, there could be up to 1 artillery attachment per infantry and artillery unit, whereas in cavalry divisions there could be 1 artillery attachment per 3 units.

I agree it looks like 1 per unit in the mixed or infantry division. I don't see why artillery in the mixed division could not have an attachment.
