Races

Post by gracillus »

I read in a previous post about the races in the game. It stated humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, and undead would be present as factions. What about non-faction races? Trolls, bugbears, ogres, goblins, centaurs, halflings, etc. You know, standard fantasy fare. I'm somewhat partial to unscrupulous human commanders who hire evil demihuman mercenaries. It's cliche, I know, but what can I say?

As you mention, the main factions are led by Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs and Undead. That said, it's not a Humans vs. Orcs kind of game. Each realm has its own culture, interests and rivalries. There are as many noble human realm as there are unscrupulous ones. And many realms do employ "non-faction" races.

For example, the Weekly Spotlight on Dragonhold reveals that this human order of knights can raise numerous dragons. The Boruvian Empire is a Human empire that also employs Orcish auxiliaries. There are numerous others employing such units as Werewolves, Goblins, Elementals and Mammoth cavalries. These are yet to be revealed in future Spotlights...

Good Hunting!

That sounds, umm, fantastic. Keep up the good work, Breca.

P.S. You had me at orcish auxiliaries.
