R&R for BHGS Challenge

Post by kevinj »

No,it's not ready yet, but as we approach the deadline for lists, this is a gentle reminder that they are due by this weekend and I'll publish the R&R when I have them all. Not being a fan of the Name and Shame policy, I thought I'd try the opposite approach. These are the people from whom I already have lists:

Tim Porter
Robert Medcraft
Colin Betts
Alasdair Harley
Paddy Bray
Nigel Emsen
Kevin Johnson

If you've sent me a list and your name is not listed, please send it again as it's gone missing.

Still a few days from the deadline and I now have lists from:

Tim Porter
Robert Medcraft
Colin Betts
Alasdair Harley
Paddy Bray
Nigel Emsen
David Allen
Don Avis
Richard Bodley Scott
Kevin Johnson

One more and I'll have half of them. :D

So far, from 10 players we have 8 different armies from 4 of the 5 possible books.

So only 22 players for FOG R.

Does that mean there are going to be more FOG AM players?

I believe there are over 30 of us registered for A&M Bob - so 50% more? After your success at Burton I expected to see you there too?

Yes, "only" an increase of 10 on last years total of 12. So that's about twice as many as last year, so far, as there is still a couple of weeks to go.

AM is also "only" up from 22 to 35 as of today, and overall attendance is "only" up over 50% across all periods, with all periods viable with 6 or more players, meaning the number of periods being played has doubled year on year.

Hopefully next year will be better though :-)

Pete,

If I was playing AM it would be on my own without Peter Card to win the games for me.

Any word on whether the rest of the lists are in and when we will get the runners and riders so we can all start planning how to beat Nigel.

Bob
bob: That will be easy... I'll just deploy :) but of course you'll be throwing dice, so i might have a chance :) As per usual... nothing sensible about my army choice, so all those very sensible tyw (almost) armies should have no problems...

Nigel,
Who said I had a sensible early TYW type army.

Played Ben last night and lost 25 - 0. My dice have got to come right one day and his have got to go south.

Most sane people are happy to say Oxford just to avoid Alasdair and Ben in rounds 1 & 2!!!

Most sane people also seem to have chosen Western European armies...
