What is STEAM

Ok, I am probably the only one on this forum not to know, but what is STEAM? I currently have all the versions and DLCs of Panzer Corps on my laptop and enjoy them over and over again. What will STEAM allow me to do and where do I go?

Steam is a digital distribution, digital rights management, multiplayer, and communications platform developed by Valve Corporation. It is used to distribute games and related media online, from small independent developers to larger software houses. In October 2012, Valve expanded the service to include non-gaming software. Basically its an online shop. If you already have the game and don't know or care what Steam is just ignore it. Some people like to have all their games in Steam and they will be able to do this with PzC. It's nothing to worry about really if you are not interested!
