Supply and end turn button should be further appart

Post by timek28 »

Like the topic says. It happened to me a more then a few times to press end turn instead of supply button. Especially when I rush or when I'm tired. To make things worse, these two buttons have very similar symbols, and are only like 10 pixels apart.

I know there is option weather we want to finish turn even if we haven't moved all units, but still I think the end turn button and supply button shouldn't be next to each other. Confirming turn isn't always the most convenient thing.

Big smile, I am so glad to hear I am not the only one! I have often thought it might be more practical to have the end turn button elsewhere. Not sure if this could easily be incorporated into a future patch.

I want to suggest another function - additional autosave at the end of a turn instead of autosave at begin of the cpu turn. This would help in this situation, too.

Big, Big smile. I have been caught out ending a turn too early many, many times!

Yea that was my complaint too, but a player gets use to it.

Your better off using the short cut keys. That's what they are made for.

Hit S and never have to worry about ending a turn again.

R for regular reinforcements

When you look at it this way, it becomes a non-issue.

Here is another suggestion that can be easy to implement in a future update. Please make any units that have not moved or fired during player's turn resupply automatically at the end of the turn. I think this was already implemented in Panzer General.

Yes, you are right. I don't know how I missed that.

Another suggestion, although more difficult to implement, is to not allow deployment of newly purchased units in any city, but only in some flagged locations at the edges of the map (this is how it works in Panzer General 2). This way the reinforcements appear as arriving from off-map and remove the absurd situation when new units magically appear in the middle of encircled areas, thus eliminating the strategic effect of encirclements.
