Demo Issues

Hello, All.

This is to further the issue/s I mentioned in the main discussion forum.

On startup of Arena I get the Box with no text; choices/options are unclear at a glance:




Also, when I exit the demo, I get an error message box:










Granted, the system I'm using to try the demo is an "older" system.
The specs. are as follows:

P3 750
Win9x SE
Geforce2, 32 Mb (video card)
SoundBlaster Live Value (sound card)
512 Mb Ram

I do disable the anti-virus program while playing games/demos,etc.

Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated.

We've done some checking and it doesn't seem like it can be a font problem. Could it be a driver issue? Do you have the most up to date drivers for the GF2?

Hi, Pip.

Yes, I've installed the latest drivers available for the video card.
Aside from the two issues mentioned, I seem to be able to run the demo ok.
This is quite strange indeed.

After the intro movie??s, i cant see the main menu. I get a black screen, but when i close it by ALT+F4 i cant see the outro movie. My grafic card is up to date, and my pc must be able to run this game easely.
please help,

My first guess would be that you might need updated graphics drivers. What graphics card do you have?

Not quite sure if this is a bug or an odd feature but( hope the pic shows up, not much luck with image hosting)

If it's not a bug could someone tell me what it is? Liked the demo alot btw. This occoured after several alt tabs to paste screen shots in paint.

It does appear to be a bug. From my recollection it's probably an incorrect flag on that texture, which means it's not being saved correctly to make it survive being lost during ALT-TAB.
