Is there an option to extend the game beyond June 1 1945?

I am using GS 3.00.

I saw mention of an advanced option, in the GS manual I believe, which will allow you to play past the historic end date. It was referred to as "1945 end", and I think you could toggle it on and off.

I cannot find such an option anywhere. Does it exist?

I just found a thread that indicated that extending the game beyond the standard game is not an option anymore.
