How many stands for a Marian roman legionary BG?

Apologies if this has been asked before, but how many legionary stands would you typically use for a Battlegroup in the Marian roman army?

4, 6 or 8.

8 is strongest, but rather expensive in points. 4 is more manoeuvrable but more brittle. 6 is a compromise.
