.......is the icons.
Here you have a great game design marred by the icon representation that is distracting from the game-play.
Can anybody come up with a mod in which the infantry, armor, mech infantry, etc reverts back to a PzC type of representation ?

Why panzer general? This is not a reference. I you ask NATO symbol or, why not, Whermacht symbol why not (I've seen that in a game, troubling indeed). Btw, panzer general infantry unit would be too small.
Now I can understand taht we all like different type of icon. What we should ask is a way to mod the icon.

"Why panzer general?"--good point:-I use that as a general reference most people on this forum would know---but other alternative symbology could be considered

I have look further in research on the forum : look at the modding sections, they have done some NATO symbol to mod the game.

I love the icons, they are one of the things that attracted me to this game. I can't stand games that use the soulless NATO counters.

I love the instant clarity of NATO symbols myself, not really keen on the bobbleheads at all. I do wish the devs had included an option for NATO symbols; the mods haven't been bad but having the game artist do it would be much better.monkspider wrote:I love the icons, they are one of the things that attracted me to this game. I love the icons too. It may take a little while to get used to, but once you do it's no problem... And it adds atmosphere for sure.
