Is it normal for your history to erase?
A couple days ago all my previous games disappeared. Is that supposed to happen?

When you say previous games, do you mean saves locally, multiplayer games, or something else

Same happened here a few days ago. The list of "completed games" was almost completely purged.
I think the best way to describe our operations to date is that they have violated every recognized principle of war.

Pip, I apologize for being vague, yes, all my completed games were expunged a couple days ago. It's not important to me and I don't really care, just wondering if its supposed to happen or not?pipfromslitherine wrote:When you say previous games, do you mean saves locally, multiplayer games, or something else

I have no use for the completed games anyway. They only way a completed game could be of any use to me would be if I could watch all the turns unfold to learn from previous mistakes. Thanks for the quick reply.

Re: Is it normal for your history to erase?
The first time this happened to me was like three months ago, 20 some odd games disappeared from my complete list, then a month ago another 15-20, now this time all 197 that were left disappeared. I figured they might do this at times to make room in the system or something? Not a tech savvy guy so just wanted to ask to make sure it's not something more serious.Navaronegun wrote:Same happened here a few days ago. The system does indeed purge completed games which are more than 20 days or so IIRC. The rebooting and other server issues may have made it less regular than it should have been.

It must of been very less than regular, then, because I saw this happen too and I had over 250 played games vanish. Not that this was an issue for me. The played games that were hanging around went all the way back to March 2013 though before they up and disappeared.

Yeah - the maintenance issues seem to have created a perfect storm of lots of systems not quite working as they should. But hopefully it is smooth seas from now on...

Pip,
Is the completed games cache somehow affecting the ability to accept or start challenges? Every time this issue is addressed, it seems to come simultaenously with a clearing of completed games cache. Are completed games somehow counting against the 20+10 number?

Completed games don't count against the total, but the script which does the clearing also does some other housekeeping which was messing up the counts. afaik everything should be working correctly, so please let me know if it isn't!
