first and foremost:
ability to auto assign at the R&D section would be a HUGE help

an "easy" mode would be nice

ability to hire multiple personnel at once would be good or maybe a button to hire all or fill all availible postions.

a "TRUE" sandbox mode like other games i.e. tropico 4 where the budget is inifite and the only goal is basically have fun.

also the animations need a fix i.e. i have a person on an EVA and in the middle of the eva it skips to reentry.
i know the part of sequence will happen but it makes you wonder if the guy/girl got back or if they are floating in space or worse.

Hello woody,

Thank you for your comments.

Yes, this has been suggested before. I'll try to fit this in a future patch.

'Normal' is the "easy" mode. Have you read "Carrying the fire" from astronaut Michael Collins? In a section he explains the different sizes of the relief tubes and how they had to be renamed because no astronaut would pick a relief tube with the "small" label in it. Same situation here! :)

'Fill all available positions' can be done, although I believe that the hiring process is a decision that needs to be made by the player, since there's no single solution. Do you pick the guy with the highest average skills? Or do you pick this other guy that is a below the average but has extremely high morale and learning capacity?

I haven't played Tropico 4. We can certainly do this as a sub-option when choosing the sandbox mode.

A nice chap from the forums is helping me by reviewing the animations and suggesting improvements. At some point we'll address this issues and include them in the weekly updates.

Change the X15 landing profile. The belly fin was discarded on actual missions to avoid problems with the landing struts as has been shown on actual X15 missions-it was dropped just prior to landing while the animation shows it intact after landing.

I've been so hyped up on this game since the rumors flew about it being produced. I've owned and played the original BARIS. Look forward to this new and improved version. I'm not sure of the correct terminology, but here goes, "an information box when you place the mouse on an icon in the game". I'm sure there are alot of people that know what I'm talking about and can provide the proper name. Thanks for putting your efforts into a soon to be great game.

Hello knightrun,

Welcome to the forums! What you suggest is called a 'tooltip'. Unfortunately, we cannot implement them since the game is also meant to be run on touch-based devices, and we want to use a universal UI. Nonetheless, we have been discussing possible solutions with the UI artist during the weekend and we'll be soon implementing an alternate approach which will allow you to get the same results than tooltips.

Yep, this is definitively amongst the things the nice chap has noticed, the EVA sequences end way to sharply, an ingress sequence seems necessary to explain things a bit :D

Also, as another "minor" suggestion, an option to sort the personnel list by assignment would be very welcome. With the unassigned ones on the top of the list, of course, so you can send them to advanced training or dispatch them on other projects/missions
