[Suggestion] Filler animations for EVA / docking
I'm really enjoying the EVA and docking missions of the Gemini project, but I'm a little bit surprised about the quick switch from EVA/docking to the reentry preparations. While I was playing these missions, I came up with the idea, that we can have a new step like "undocking" or "returning from the EVA". What are you thinking about that?
Re: [Suggestion] Filler animations for EVA / docking
I can certainly add those steps to the missions in the near build or so. I cannot promise you an animation for those steps, though, since the artists are quite busy at the moment, but we'll see what we can do
Cheers,

Cheers,

Perhaps they just need slowing down a bit. I think perhaps each part of the mission needs to be slowed down just a tiny bit (a few seconds) to enhance the suspense and allow the video to finish playing before a success or failure is shown. Of course you dont want to slow it down so much that it adds ages onto each mission. But certainly the most interesting parts of each mission want enhancing as much as possible. What irks me when watching Sebbis videos is the way the countdown gets 'success' before its even finished counting down!
Talking of inserting extra scenes, to me the pre-launch procedures, countdown and launch have always been the most exciting parts of any space mission and they seem to pass very quickly in the videos. So its a shame you dont see the rocket being moved to the launch pad and the tower gantries and refueling arms moving aside before launch as again these were always the best bits of a space mission for me - it is these prelaunch sequences that help build up the tension. Of course the advantage of this game is that you can speed up the whole sequence of what normally took days to a few seconds. But I always loved watching the shuttle waiting on the launch pad with the steam drifting out of the refuelling arms. And when the gantries start move away its very exciting. Most of that prelaunch tension is being missed in this game so far it seems.
