My game keeps crashing

I can start a game properly but after a few turns the screen goes black. I restart my system and open the game again, I can load autosaves properly as well but the same thing keeps happening. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled everything, updated my drivers and tried playing in windowed modes but nothing seems to work. Is there any advice you can give me on this?

I've been fiddling with the resolutions in the config file since I posted this because I saw other people saying this had fixed their problems but still no improvement. I start the game, play a few turns and then zap, my screen goes blank and I have to restart my computer. I can play all my other games so this is really starting to annoy me.

Hey welshrose,

The screen going black is usually a sign of graphics driver or card failure. The logs don't indicate anything going wrong in the game. I would check that nothing in your computer is overheating -- particularly your graphics card.

You might have better results by turning on v-sync, turning off AA and playing in the lowest resolution window mode.
