Points and Troop Type Limits

Ok - so I was looking at adjusting my Trebizond Byzantine army from the S&S list and remembered someone saying that as you chose to have more points as the limit that the limits on the troops types increased. So I checked out the limits on the top Byzantine cav and here is what I found out:

400 - you can have 3-6 of the top Byzantine cavalry

1000 - you can have 3-7 ....

Some increase!

The problem with this is is that it forces those of us that like to play large point DAG battles to add in an ally.

Why not just raise the limits proportionally such that if you have 500 points and 3-6 that when you increase to 1000 you get 3-12?

Its even worse in Rise of Rome armies. There are a few armies when you cannot even spend all your point at higher settings since you run out of units.
