Game doesn't Launch on Ubuntu 12.04

After updating the game to version 0.29 it won't launch on my machine.
The loading screen appears, but it closes shortly after displaying "Creating GUI...".

I'm running the game on Ubuntu Linux 12.04 64bits. I'm also using a different window manager (Awesome instead of Unity) but until now it presented no problems with the game.

I have attached the logs.

same here windows 7. Loading Gui then crash. Will post logs shortly. But maybe this is something wrong with all?

If it's the same issue I had, see the 3rd post in this thread for a fix:

BTW Linux (and probably MacOSX) users can just symlink from Data/Audio/Sounds/Languages -> Data/Core/Languages rather than copying.

The game launches with that fix, but there is no sound at faction selection. In the last update at least the Divine Ascendancy faction had a voiced description.

I'm a brand-new beta tester and wasn't aware that there should have been sound on faction selection. I guess this at least lets people launch the game though. Hopefully the devs will sort it out soon!
