Just Downloaded the First Patch...
Just Downloaded the First Patch...
.....things are starting to come together here
Re: Just Downloaded the First Patch...
...but I must say at this early juncture that it's too "straight" ...it needs some variability in real design flaws, risk failure, human failure, concept failure, material failure[that happened all to often in the early days]---with R&D that addresses those avenues of research

It's all coming, don't worry
Expect substantial patches very often!

I have only the mercury missions, I see that others have gemini missions, I updated it but follows equal. is that because I have the $ 20 version?
Re: Just Downloaded the First Patch...
I have answered this question for carlos via PM, but for anyone else having the same enquiry: the Gemini missions are coming in a future update, so stay tune! The game you'll get by purchasing any tier (i.e., Mercury, Gemini or Apollo) is the same, the only difference is that those who bought the last two tiers also get a physical copy once the final version of part 1 gets released.carlossolanilla wrote:I have only the mercury missions, I see that others have gemini missions, I updated it but follows equal. is that because I have the $ 20 version?

Re: Just Downloaded the First Patch...
Great game, as a BARIS fan it's coming along nicely. I programmed a text game similar to this but got stuck on a few bugs(as a hobby), it's really nice seeing features I had in my mind as an epic BARIS be put into a real game
I love it.
I think some fans are not understanding the 'early access' part and that most of the features they want are obviously planned, that taken into consideration this is a really good game in my opinion. I've been looking forward for it ever since I saw the first mention!

I agree with the fact we are all play testers on this first iteration and with each incremental change there has to come horizontal as well as vertical integration and validate as you go..or you WILL have a mess on your hands

Re: Just Downloaded the First Patch...
Well, I'm just glad I can go a little further than before... thanks to the fix for the Mercury bug!
Still, I have to say that by 1973 I can't get very far. Played some three or four games since the patch, and in the last one I had barely completed all lunar missions (with Luna 15 and lunar samples return), I had done all Mercury except the extended orbital and had barely sent the Mariners to the Venus and Mars flyby. And this time (unlike the previous ones, because in strategic games I tend to have a conservative playstyle) as soon as I got the money I filled everything with SET, flight controllers and astronauts.
