Re: Help!
No problem. Assuming you have just started the editor:
Select and Pull down the 'File' menu (upper left corner).
From this menu, select 'Open...'
Manually navigate to the folder that contains the scenario files, and open the file (.pzscn) you want. This works like your basic Windows Explorer.
You will need to know where Panzer Corps is installed. The scenario files are located in a subfolder of the main installation folder: ...Panzer Corps/Data, or ...Panzer Corps/DLC/GCxx/Data for the Grand Campaign scenarios.
If you are having trouble in locating the folders on your system, you can try a seach for *.pzscn files, that should give you their location(s).
Hope this helps, let me know if you run into trouble.

Re: Help!
I don't think so. I've found it useful to create a reference scenario (no terrain needed) where you set a few relevant countries to play on the same side. Then when you load the scenario in the game it is easy to compare units from different countries in the purchase units screen. I have the game open at the same time as the scenario editor so it's easy to flip between the two. Setting the scenario date will affect what units are displayed in the purchase screen.4p0int wrote: (% Anyway, when in the editor, is there a way to check a units statistics before you place it on the map?![]()
Re: Help!
Hello 4p0int, I think the_iron_duke is correct, you can't see the unit stats in the editor. A while ago a member helpfully made an excel sheet for the German units, but you can also open the equipment file with Excel or Notepad (it's located in the Panzer Corps/Data folder and called equipment.pzeqp).
But yes, it might be easier to start the game and check the stats through the purchase screen. You could start a single scenario (for example 'Germany') with hotseat settings (both sides human player), and check a lot of units through the purchasing screens of the sides ('Germany' uses German, Soviet and Western Allied sides).
You can also enter the 'all eqp' cheat during the battle to see every piece of equipment that is available for a particular nation on that side (press 'Ctrl-Alt-Shift-C' , a menu pops up, then enter: all eqp). With this last cheat active you can also see bonus/capturable units, SE units, switchable versions of units, etc. (it needs to be activated seperately for both the axis and the allied in their respective turns).
You can post your questions here, it might become a nice tutorial thread for others to read. But you can PM me if there are privacy issues or something, not everyone wants to ask all their questions on an open forum of course.

Re: Help!
AHHH, Do you have to have the hard disk installed to get to the equipment folder? It does not seem to be in the data folder, with the scenarios.
While I'm at it, In the unit statistics box, many values are boxed( [18] ), could you tell me what that means? Thanks
Re: Help!
The equipment.pzeqp should be in the main \Panzer Corps\Data folder, on my (outdated) system it's in Program Files\Slitherine\Panzer Corps\Data, you can try and do a search for it on your computer.
To be sure, it is only located in the main Data folder, and not in the DLC\GCxx\Data folders (although you can put one in there and the game will use it when playing that particular GC).
The 'boxed' [x] (they are called brackets, BTW
) figures are what I call 'passive attack values'. A lot of units have them for their air attack values, which I will use as an example: it means the unit cannot initiate an attack against air units, but is able to fire back at air units when it is attacked by them.
So if a bomber has [6] as air attack stat, it cannot start an attack against air units by clicking on them, but if it is attacked by an air unit it will 'attack' them back with a strength 6 air attack.

Re: Help!
Thanks again guys, the cheat code works great, but I could not find any equipment file in the data folder. I recently did my first mod to an existing MP map( Bobcage Breakout, made the Firefly a Brit unit and moved the Brit engineer unit at Caan, 1 hex so they can withdraw without combat). The manual told me to save the map in the MY Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps\Scenario Folder. But when I opened the documents\Data files there is no Scenario folder.?? But when I manually( with help) entered one, and placed my map there, it showed up in my custom scenario box!
I have yet to put to the MP test, but if anyone else is struggling as I am, that's how I got it there!
And one other thing. How can you tell in the unit stats if a unit can change. With the Sherman M4A3(105) I see it is listed under Both Tank AND Artillery. Is the German 8.8 Flak36 AA, and the 8.8 Pac36 AT the same way? Or is there another way to check.
Thanks again

Re: Help!
The game needs this file to work, and the editor also uses it, so it has to be there? Maybe your system is hiding it from you4p0int wrote:I could not find any equipment file in the data folder.
Congratulations, before you know it you will have modded so much you will view any updates as 'messing with my game'! And yes, unfortunately you have to make the Scenario folder yourself, probably as some sort of rite of passage... I'm a bit confused though, you mention opening the documents\Data folder (to look for the Scenario folder), did you put the Scenario folder there as well? Because it needs to be in the location that is mentioned in the manual, but that location doesn't have a 'Data' folder?I recently did my first mod to an existing MP map( Bobcage Breakout, made the Firefly a Brit unit and moved the Brit engineer unit at Caan, 1 hex so they can withdraw without combat). Yes, it's the same way with the others switchables. With the 'all eqp' cheat you can see the switchable versions of units in their own categories. (when they switch they become a different unit category, for example the 8.8cm FlaK becomes anti-tank)And one other thing. How can you tell in the unit stats if a unit can change. You can't really see it in the game other than during battles, but the equipment file has a separate entry for those units. I posted a list of all switchable units here: viewtopic.php?f=121&t=44602#p422415
Re: Help!
Thanks. When I renamed it ( so I would not change the original) I saved (as) it where the original already is. So I guess that's why it worked. I have been looking at the older posts ( like the one you sent me) and it seems others have had the same problem, depending on what kind of machine they have. It looks like my machine has put the game folders in different places, and I'm still looking. Anyway, I am playing it now on MP, and when the map came up, there where NO Victory conditions! But after I took a look at it, it looks like I mistakenly added a Brit Eng. unit when I moved the original one, without changing the parameters. I fixed that in the mod (removed the unit) and now the victory conditions are back. Boy, you got to be careful where you click when you are placing/moving units!!!
Thanks for your help! One more thing. Are you guys still working on an updated manual?
