Re: 4 Games from Roll Call
Thanks for doing these Tim - they keep the whole FOGR community gripped.
As ever excellent reports - I'm still suffering flashbacks of trauma from my round 2 defeat and have started an extensive training programme for my Scottish gunners who inexplicitly allowed a BG of Reiters to ride right around a Scottish Kiel and proved unable to take the base off them that would rout them and allowed them to plough into the rear of my brave Scottish boys and take down the army!
They are not being allowed out of the box again until they improve!

Nice reports but your luck seemed truly dreadful.

I think Graham might legitimately argue that it evened out over the weekend....!timmy1 wrote:Nice reports but your luck seemed truly dreadful.

Re: 4 Games from Roll Call
Certainly in the fourth game. Having been brilliantly outdeployed I expected an early bath as you stormed the gap in my line, taking the lights, the artillery and my camp before surrounding and chomping the isolated keils.timmy1 wrote:Nice reports but your luck seemed truly dreadful.
As it was I've never seen such an appalling run of the dice. Had your keil fallen to my pursuing LH I'd have had to give up wargaming as it could never have gotten any better!
Still, there's always next time

Well. I didn't have the best luck in that game - Reiters running over Swiss frontally is a tad naughty. However, I made some errors in the game that encouraged the bad luck to arrive, and I still haven't got the mix of generals to pikes right (strategy of having 4 scary Keils didn't really work without 3 generals).madaxeman wrote:I think Graham might legitimately argue that it evened out over the weekend....!timmy1 wrote:Nice reports but your luck seemed truly dreadful.
Not giving the elite Keil rear support was a daft error and then not keeping it compact made life worse.
The silly thing is, having spread out a little too much in that game I over-compensated in the following game against RBS and went down again. Still, they were both good games.
