First congratulations for an excellent company creating fantastic war games.
My idea is a idea very Little games have at the moment.
Is créate a game you can have a big map can show the european, Africa, middle east, Asia en Us Theatre, a turned based game you can start the game from 1936-1939, you can get the materials like iron, fuel, food, gold or money depending what countries you have conquest, every country will have more that others taking the original capacity. A game you can choose what to do, what to attack or declare the war but you can fight like germany at war 1941. Usually the war games have a historical path to follow, but is good to have a game you can control the tecnology, creating new units depending the materials you have, choosing what allies you need or try to have that allies, you choose your strategy and re-written the history like germany. I think will be very funny to have a mixed game between germany at war, panzer corps and hearts of iron (but not so complicate like this one), to have the best of every game in only one, historical games are nice, but you always miss to créate your own strategy path so you think you can change the history and that is very funny and not posible to do with many of the games actually are in the market.
I hope this idea can be real in the creation of this new game.
Thanks to Slitherine team and hoping the idea will be ok for you.
Josua.

You might already have something very close to your goal if you check out Advanced Tactics.
It has a lot of what you sound like you want.

Re: Idea for a new game
I would also like to propose a game level system based on the already popular matrix/Slitherine Games: Close Combat..How about localized campaigns that, though one-sided permit history to be refought. For instance, using the Close Combat system how about: Panzer's Poland (1939);Tobruk, 1942, or How about Kholm (Kholm), Demyansk, or Veliki Luki (encirclements in Russia); or even still: Guadalcanal, Tarawa, or Saipan, or Iwo Jima. Using Close Combat I think things should/could flow simply enough. maps should be readily aiavlable as are orders of battle, and unit strengths/supply and logistics... Personally, iIve never designed a game though I've been playing Avalon Hill, SPI's and the rest since the mid 1970s (and have quite an extensive collection). I think the Close Combat system is easy to master and replicate why not expand it so battle like the current Panzers in the Fog (Cobra/Mortain/Falaise)--can be explored. I think a Close Combat: Iwo Jima wold sell very well as very few games in any style have been relseased....

A War of 1812 strategy wargame depicting the Anglo-American war to control the Great Lakes and Canada.
In this game, players could take on one of the roles of the major factions that took part in the War of 1812. The British side would be represented by the British Regulars (Redcoats), Canadian Militia and Native Americans. The American Regular Army and American Militia would comprise the American players.
The game should include naval builds on the lakes, naval battles and troop transport.

I would most like to see a Fields of Glory Napoleonic for PC (like the ancients version currently available)--or better, a full campaign version with the ability to use FoG:Nap rules to play the individual battles or auto resolve. I'd be overjoyed w/ something like this.

A CTGW game on the division scale, instead of the Corps scale it is now.

This would be really cool. I don't think there is any game out on the market that depicts the war of 1812. I feel like I learn my history through computer games and I've gotta say I don't really know much about the war of 1812.winterfox wrote:A War of 1812 strategy wargame depicting the Anglo-American war to control the Great Lakes and Canada.
