Is there a demo for this game anywhere? Ive looked but been unable to find one.

There is no demo planned. I am in favor of a demo as well as I believe a demo will convince many potential players to buy CEAW.
I have bought the game recently and have been playing by e-mail as well as against the AI. I can heartily recommend it. Also check out Bill Trotter's review on The Wargamer.

Yeah im always a bit wary of buying games without having tried them, either because ive had games that dont run on my system or are just plain awful.

I already own Legion Arena however and have been a long time player of games like civ so if it has the quality of the first in the style of the second I doubt it will be bad

But a demo is always great to help encourage people to buy.
