German WW2 Music Mod

Post by cedonxp »

HERE IT IS!!!!!!!!!! The mother of all German WW2 Music Mods 119MB of world stomping music. 8 hours of the finest military marches songs to mow down your enemies with. This ain't your typical goofball music war gamer cheeseball music. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. I have spent a lot of time gathering rare tracks, some are grainy but still kick butt. Also you will hear different version of some of the same song, like the Panzerlied. Franky the different versions all have their merits. I think the Battle of the Bulge version is in there twice :D

JUST DOWNLOAD TO YOUR AUDIO/MUSIC FOLDER IN THE PANZER KORPS GAME. DELETE THE OLD FILE AND REPLACE WITH THE MUSIC.PZDAT AND THE 1.MP3

Also please note when a scenario ends I think it might reset the mp3 to the beginning.

THIS MOD IS JUST A REFLECTION OF THE MUSIC AND CULTURE AFFECTING THE GERMAN SOLDIERS DURING WW2 AND NOT A ATTEMPT TO PUSH NAZI IDEOLOGY AT ALL.

Great idea!

To do a music Mod, I think that's relatively easy to do.

There's two steps:

1.put the selected music into Audio\Music folder (mp3 or wav I guess)
2. Edit the music.pzdat file in Audio\Music folder. You can use notepad to open this file. Then change/add the music and set the theatre of these music. That's it!

Then just go into the game to have a test!

I did these for my Mod project, all works perfectly.

Ok need some help. I copied the music file and updated the music.pzdat file to match the Moded music file that was in my audio folder/music. I can't figure out how to make it move from one song to the next. It just plays prussian glory over and over. I have tried adding a number in front of the and that didn't work. I tried just using ascending numbers and that didn't work. The theater is set to -1 which is any theater. Can someone help me figure this out? Its probably something stupid easy but I just can't figure it out.

Here are the files for the music folder with the music.pzdat filehttp://www.sendspace.com/file/95uu28

I guess that's the way how it works... At least that happens for me as well.

One solution you can try is to combine the music. For example, have 3 songs in one mp3 file. :D

I've tried it , very good musics you picked.
Just one issue. Since there's only one mp3 file, the music is always start with the same song.

Took your advice and made one large MP3 and can not control how the songs are played unfortunately. My plan is to create multiple MP3 with up to 30 songs each and every time you restart the game hopefully you will get a different MP3 with different songs. I think that will be the best I can do at this point.

It won't work unfortunately. I have ask the game designers and they said the only way to get them all in was to make one massive MP3. if you load multiple mp3s in the music folder it will just play one song over and over. This was the only way to get some of the really cool ones i have found out to the gamers. If your interested send me a private message and I will send them individually to and I will look into posting them somewhere.

I know some of the recording are rough but thats because they are old records. Lets face it some of the recording techniques from the 30s and 40s suck, But damn it was the 30s and 40s! But in some ways that adds the the novelty and charm of some of these songs that inspired these guys to fight like demons.
I will look at listing the songs but damn its a lot. And to be honest it appears not enough people like the mod enough for me to expend the effort. Its literally well over 100 tunes. I hope you liked it.
