Heavy Rain

I think this has been asked before but how can you get heavy rain? I fell that BA's rain is more of a drizzle and that's why I'd like to replace it with another animation. Is there a limit where the rain could crash the engine BA is on?

It's not something which can be altered from scripting etc unfortunately.

I wonder if you could simulate what you want by having a lightening and thunder effect occassionally. Or even the sound of heavy rainfall?
You might pull this off in a custom music track.
