Hi to all.
Only a short question. I gave up playing Panzercorps for personally reasons a year ago. Today i saw the outstanding graphic
of Mod Ostfront 4.0 and i want to give the game a new try. The mainproblem i had with the game were the long battleanimations.
Did slitherine found a way in the meantime to make the boring long battleanimations shorter ?
Thanks for help.

Re: Battleanimations
What long battle animations are you talking about ? Do you mean the allied forces moving their gear around the map when it's their turn ?
Those can be switched off. During game press ESC. In the appearing menu you can deselect both opponents animations.
HtH?

Re: Battleanimations
Hello ,
thanks for the answer. I checked it out but i must confess no animation is also not good, sorry. In Strategic command 2 is a option "Quick animation".
Maybe could anyone do such a patch for Panzercorps. But its clear for me it makes no sense if i"m the only one who needs this.

Re: Battleanimations
If you mean firing animations, IMO they are not long. They give you a chance to see who has more initiative, and giive you a feeling of what results to expect in combat just by different sounds of units firing and receiving fire. If they were shorter it would be hard to anticipate the result of the combat as all animations would look similar and probably awkward.
Besides the whole gmae is really a slow paced pleasure, so there is no need to hurry up things. I guess real time strategies are more for fast pace...

Re: Battleanimations
Hi Timek 28, thank you for the answer, the reason why the animations are working in that way is now clear for me.
During the last days i reinstalled the game, downloaded the last patch and playd a few rounds the 1 and other mod.
The game looks amazing now, congratulations to slitherine and to all moders and scenariomakers here.
Unfortunatelly i cant use to the gamerules and things like the animations. But this is my fault not slitherines or anyone else.
But Panzercorps has now my ful repect, keep up the good work.
Hope i"ll find the time to look around here from time to time.
Have fun everyone.
See you.
Micha
