Icon Meanings?
I just purchased Battle Academy and I have a couple of questions:
1) When you select a unit sometimes there are red triangles over some enemy units?
2) When you select a unit the tiles that It can move to are Highlighted. A green move arrow appears. Sometimes it shakes and sometimes it is steady? Also the tiles it can't move to are highlighted in a darker color?
So far a "Great" game. Lots of fun to play!!!!

The triangle is basically saying "if you move here you will be shot!" Work is underway to remove this so players don't know where the shots are coming fromTombstone wrote:I just purchased Battle Academy and I have a couple of questions:

There are 2 move commands. Move fast has the arrow and your men suffer lower accuracy, and a higher casualty rate. Hunt gives you better accuracy and lowered casualty rate.
Glad your liking the game it's lots of fun. If you get bored swing to the forums and download some mods or join some tournaments. As for the triangle us iOS user don't get that. It's both a gift and a curse

Ok, but why does the "Go Fast Arrow" sometimes shake when you move the cursor around, and sometimes it remains steady?LandMarine47 wrote:The triangle is basically saying "if you move here you will be shot!" The red triangle means that enemy is currently a valid target for your selected unit.Tombstone wrote:I just purchased Battle Academy and I have a couple of questions:

The shaking move arrow indicates that you will only need to click once to activate the action because it is the only option (you won't need to select the tile and then the action).
Tiles you can move to are highlighted in white. The tiles on the route your unit will take if you choose to move are additionally outlined in a brighter white. If you mouse over a tile out of movement range, the rest of the route is highlighted in red.

Re: Icon Meanings?
Two more questions:
1) Under options it has as a mouse option; Left only UI Mode?
2) Advanced options: opponent UI: on/off?
I've searched the manual and can't find anything pertaining to these?
Thanks for any info!

Left only UI Mode uses the left button to both select units and issue commands, the right button deselects the current unit. Left/right UI Mode uses the left button to select units and the right button to issue commands.
If you turn the opponent UI off, during the AI turn you will not see the unit names and icons flash by as the enemy units move.

Thank you! If you choose the left/right UI mode, how do you deselect a unit?AndrewGardner wrote:Left only UI Mode uses the left button to both select units and issue commands, the right button deselects the current unit. Re: Icon Meanings?
Left clicking on any empty tile will deselect a unit in left/right mode. Space bar will also deselect in either mode.

Well in real life "Moving Fast" simulated running and if you enemy catches you sprinting anywhere it's likley you or your men will get killed. While "hunting" is moving up slowly so you have time to react to enemy fire.rsc3 wrote:Higher casualty rate for moving fast, How?
