Polygon complexity of Slith's BA models?

Pip/Andrew, How many polygons are there in a typical BA 3d model?

I'm still experimenting/hunting for Pacific warships... The simplest models I've found so far come with 1,500-2,500 polygons... Is this simple enough to work with BA?

Well, you'll probably have less ships etc than you would have tanks and so on I would imagine. I don't know off the top of my head (you could grab some of the example models and check) but I think the tanks are in the 300 range, and the infantry around 80-100 each.

Thanks Pip,

I'll grab one of the models and test it out...

They're available in *.C4D, *.3DS, *.B3D, *.MS3D formats.
Which would you recommend so that we could modify anything we might need to, and then drop into BA?

3DS should be exportable by MAX so that would work. Depends on the app you are editing in.

Hopefully, someone with access to MAX will be curious and take a look...

I'm looking the number of polygons with MAX:
- cruiser: 1496
- destroyer: 2852
- minesweeper: 2108

For compare (BBC_3d_art_assets):
- Churchill tank: 153
- British infantry: 108

The only hard limit is 16384 vertices in a single model, so these should be absolutely fine.
